So this is where I tell you all about me and how I started writing, blah, blah, blah. The truth is never as interesting as the possible story I could weave about my humble writing beginnings. But I’ll take a stab at it.
I’ve been making up stories and putting them down on paper since the fourth grade. It continued all through high school and bled into my college experience where I wrote for the school newspaper in both arenas. I even managed to graduate with a degree in Journalism. But alas… life happened and my writing career took a back seat to the reality of life, family and the pursuit of the 9 to 5.
Fast forward “X” number of years and I’m pleased to say, I’m back in the writing groove. I’m honing my craft, surrounding myself with fellow writers and readers of romance and loving every minute of it.
I’ve been a member of Romance Writers of America since 2010 and I served two terms as Chapter President for my local RWA chapter, Carolina Romance Writers. My background includes several board and volunteer positions with CIMRWA and FF&P Special Interest online chapters. I’m currently serving my first term on the RWA Board of Directors as Chapter Advisor.
I’m a wife, a mother of three and a native New Yorker who transplanted (on purpose) to the southern comfort of North Carolina.
